WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State continues its run through October with the penultimate tournament of the fall season. The Broncos will play 54 holes at the Oregon State Invitational, Oct. 9-10, at Trysting Tree Golf Course. The tournament will play at par-71.
LAST TIME OUT: Will O'Connor led the Broncos at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, Oct. 2-3. O'Connor carded rounds of 70-74-75 to finish at 3-over 219. The Broncos finished 16th at 894.
HOMECOMING FOR RUECK: Sophomore Cole Rueck will return to his hometown course next week. Rueck, the son of Oregon State women's basketball head coach Scott Rueck, is a native of Corvallis, Ore. Trysting Tree Golf Course is the site of Rueck leading Corvallis HS to a OSAA 5A state championship in 2022 where he earned runner-up honors with the lowest round of the 5A tournament.
COACH TRAINOR, ROUND TWO: David Trainor returns for his second season as the head coach of the Broncos. Trainor led Boise State to a pair of top four finishes in his debut season, while fifth-year senior Max Charles earned medalist honors at the PING Cougar Classic – setting the school record for 36-hole score and 54-hole score in the process.
THE SQUAD: The Broncos return five members of their lineup from last year's Mountain West Championships, as well as two other members of last season's roster. Boise State also added freshmen Luke Cunningham and Luke Cushman, as well as sophomore Ryan Meyer – a transfer from Arizona.
THE FIELD: Boise State, Oregon State (host), Arkansas State, Gonzaga, Idaho, Long Beach State, Pacific, Sam Houston State, Seattle, Southern Miss, Tarleton State, Utah, Utah Tech, Washington State, Arizona State (four individuals only).
