WHAT'S NEXT

Boise State beach volleyball will begin its fall season at the Alki Pairs Tournament, Oct. 7-8, in Seattle, Wash. It is the second-straight season the Broncos have opened their fall season at the tournament.

THE FIELD

The squad will compete against pairs from Arizona, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Both Washington (No. 15) and Arizona (No. 20) finished the 2023 season ranked in the final AVCA Collegiate Beach Poll.

THE FORMAT

The Alki Pairs Tournament will consist of three divisions – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Each division will consist of pool play followed by bracket play, which will wrap up on Saturday. The same format will be utilized on Sunday, but each team will switch up its pairs.

WHO'S IN

All 19 members of the Bronco squad will compete at the event. On Saturday, two Bronco pairs will compete in the Gold Division, four will play in the Silver Division while three Boise State duos will battle in the Bronze Division. Pairs for Sunday will be determined following Saturday's contests.

ZOOMING OUT

This fall marks the second-straight season the NCAA has allowed beach volleyball programs to compete in pairs tournaments during the fall. The Alki Pairs Tournaments is the first of five tournaments the Broncos will compete in this year, including one bid at the AVCA National Pairs Championship, Nov. 3-5, in Huntsville, Ala.
