The Master's Heads to ExtraMile Arena for Broncos' Lone Exhibition Game

GAME

Boise State women's basketball will open the 2023-24 season with an exhibition matchup against The Master's on Friday at 6:30 p.m. MT at ExtraMile Arena. As an exhibition contest, the game will not count towards Boise State's record.

DETAILS

Admission to the exhibition game will be free. Fans will not need tickets to enter ExtraMile Arena, and seating will be general admission. There will be no video or radio broadcast of the game.

THE OPPONENT

The Broncos will host The Master's, a NAIA school from Santa Clarita, Calif. The Mustangs were picked to finish third in the Golden State Athletic Conference, and finished 17-10 last season.

THE BRONCOS

With 14 letterwinners, including all five starters, returning for the 2023-24 campaign, the Broncos retain 89.7% of the team's scoring from last year, the most in the Mountain West. Boise State finished the 2022-23 season winning eight of its last 11 games.

WHO TO WATCH

The reigning MW Defensive Player of the Year, Abby Muse, returns for her senior season. The senior was one of five players named to the 2023-24 Preseason All-Mountain West Team after earning honorable-mention honors last season. Elodie Lalotte, who also earned an honorable-mention nod a year ago, returns for her senior season after leading the team in scoring with 9.9 points per game. Dani Bayes and Natalie Pasco both return for their sophomore seasons after earning a spot on the All-MW Freshman Team last season.

THE STAFF

Head coach Gordy Presnell will return for this 19th season at the helm for the Blue and Orange. With a 334-227 record at Boise State, Presnell ranks first in Bronco history for victories by a head coach. Presnell is one of 10 active Division I women's basketball head coaches with over 700 career wins.

ON TAP

The Broncos will open the regular season on Monday, Nov. 6 against College of Idaho. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena and will be broadcast on the MW Network.
