BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's tennis has released its schedule for the 2024 spring season, head coach Beck Roghaar announced Wednesday.
The slate includes 12 home matches and five contests against Power 5 opponents. The Blue and Orange will also face two opponents who finished last year ranked No. 21 Washington and No. 22 Wisconsin.
"As we continue our mission to become one of the nation's elite, we've really mapped out a great plan and put together wonderful opportunities through our scheduling," Roghaar said. "The strength of schedule is no doubt one of the most difficult that the program's ever seen and we're excited to take that on."
The Broncos start their season in Boise with a pair of matches, first against Idaho State (Jan. 25) followed by Washington State (Jan. 27). The following weekend the team takes their first road trip of the season to Seattle, Wash., to face Washington (Feb. 2).
Boise State will then return home to host College of Idaho (Feb. 9), Oregon (Feb. 16) and Minnesota (Feb. 18). The team will then travel to Madison, Wis., to face Wisconsin (March 1) and DePaul (March 2).
To round out nonconference play, the Broncos will host Lewis-Clark State (March 9) for two matches at home.
The Mountain West slate will begin in Boise as they welcome San Jose State (March 15) and San Diego State (March 17). The Broncos will face 2023 MW regular season champion Wyoming in Laramie, Wyo. (March 22) before heading south to Fort Collins, Colo., to take on Colorado State (March 24).
The final home matches of the year for Boise State include New Mexico (March 28) and Air Force (March 30) before the home finale against UNLV (April 7), the defending 2023 MW Tournament Champions.
The Broncos will conclude the regular season with three-straight road matches, beginning with a contest against Fresno State (April 12). Boise State will conclude the season on the road against Nevada (April 14) and Utah State (April 19).
This year's MW Championships will be held in Las Vegas, Nev., April 24-27.
The Broncos had a 13-11 overall record last season and made an appearance in the semifinals of the MW Tournament Championship. The team is returning eight athletes from the previous season.
