
Broncos Power Past Yotes in Regular Season Opener

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State opened its 2023-24 regular season with a 77-35 victory over College of Idaho, Monday, in ExtraMile Arena.
The Broncos (1-0) opened the game with stout defense as the Yotes (0-4) shot only 20% from the field in the opening period. The potent defensive start allowed Boise State to jump out to a 19-8 first quarter lead.Â
Dani Bayes and Mya Hansen opened the second quarter with back-to-back 3-pointers, spurring a 10-0 Bronco run to extend the lead past 20 points. Boise State hit four shots from beyond the arc in the quarter as it took a 43-16 lead into the locker room.Â
Natalie Pasco scored the first seven points of the second half, jump starting an 11-0 Bronco run. Trista Hull added six points in the third quarter as Boise State continued to stretch its lead. The Broncos outscored the Yotes 34-19 in the second half to solidify the win.Â
- Alyssa Christensen was a perfect 4-of-4 from the field, finishing with 10 points on the night. The junior made both of her 3-point attempts.
