BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball has signed Teryn Gardner to a National Letter of Intent to join the Broncos for the 2024-25 season, head coach Gordy Presnell announced Wednesday.
Gardner will join the program from Spokane, Wash., where she plays for Mead High School. She was named the Greater Spokane League Most Valuable Player a season ago and led the Panthers to a third-place showing at the Washington State Tournament.
"We are very excited about Teryn becoming a Bronco," Presnell said. "She is one of the premiere players in the Northwest. She can score and defend at a very-high level. She's a really great addition to our program. We're really lucky to have her because she's a great player."
Gardner is also a decorated multi-sport athlete, earning all-league honors in both soccer and track and field. The leading goal scorer for the Panthers over the last three seasons, Gardner scored the deciding goal in the District 8 3A Championship on Nov. 2 and will be competing in the state tournament, Nov. 10. She also won a state championship as part of Mead's 4x400 relay team in the spring.
Gardner will be the second member of the Bronco program to come from Mead High School - assistant coach Heather Sower led the Panthers to a state championship in 1990. Gardner will also become the fifth Washington native to join the Bronco roster, joining Jayda Clark, Trista Hull, Linsey Lovrovich and Tatum Thompson.
"I am very excited to join Boise State," Gardner said. "I see how close the team is and how bonded they are and I wanted to be a part of it. I wanted to be a part of a program that has that tight of a team."

The 5-9 point guard averaged 25.3 points, 8.0 rebounds and 5.3 per assists as a junior and was named to the SBLive Washington's all-classification, all-state first team for the 2022-23 season. She has already eclipsed the 1,000-point mark in just three seasons, including a Covid-shortened season where the Panthers only played 12 games.𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗘𝗗 ✍️ @TerynGardner24 is a Boise State Bronco 😤#BleedBlue | #WhatsNext pic.twitter.com/J4XW8WLtLO
