Broncos to Wrap Up Nonconference Play in San Diego

WHAT'S NEXT

Boise State women's basketball will wrap up its nonconference schedule at the San Diego Winter Classic. The Broncos (8-3) will face UC San Diego on Wednesday, Dec. 20 before taking on San Diego on Thursday, Dec. 21. Both games will tip off at 5 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on ESPN+ and 670 KBOI AM.

THE OPPONENTS

UC San Diego enters Wednesday's contest 3-6 on the season, including a 1-1 record against Mountain West foes. The Tritons defeated San Diego State 77-71 in overtime on Nov. 28 before falling to Fresno State 71-52 on Dec. 2. San Diego is 4-6 on the season and has lost all three of its games against MW opponents, falling to UNLV, Nevada and San Diego State.

LAST TIME OUT

The Broncos will have had over a week off from their last competition, a 67-46 win over Rocky Mountain College. Tatum Thompson scored a season-high 18 points off the bench in the victory while Elodie Lalotte added 14. The win was the fourth 20+ point victory for the squad and also marked the fourth time Boise State held a team under 50 points on the season.

BLOCK PARTY

Abby Muse enters the California tournament ranked second in the nation in both blocks per game (3.6) and total blocks (39). With just 11 games under her belt, the senior has already reached 10th place on the program's single-season record books and needs just three additional blocked shots to move into fourth place all-time in Mountain West history.

Boise State is 7-0 on the year when three or more players have scored in double figures. Nine different players have already eclipsed the 10-point threshold on the season.
