Broncos Lose Final Game of Stanford Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. – Boise State softball lost 4-2 to No. 8 Stanford in its final game of the Stanford Invitational, Sunday.
 
The Broncos (7-7) opened the game strong with a home run from Mykenzie Hanna in the top of the first. Stanford (13-2) responded back, scoring three in the bottom of the frame.
 
Hanna homered again in the third, cutting the Cardinal's lead to one, but ultimately fell short. Taylor Caudill (1-4) took the loss in the circle.

  • "We are competing with the right teams and are keeping ourselves in the ball game," said head coach Justin Shults. "However, we don't want to live by a standard of just hanging with these teams and need to find a way mentally to get out of our own way."
