
Broncos Come Up Short at Colorado State

Fort Collins, Colo. – Colorado State defeated Boise State 66-51 in the final game of the regular season, Tuesday, in Moby Arena.
Mary Kay Naro got off to a hot start for the Broncos (16-15, 11-7 MW), hitting two of the team's first three 3-pointers as Boise State took an 11-7 lead four minutes into the first quarter. The Rams (19-10, 12-6 MW) responded with a 9-0 run as they took a 21-14 lead after one.
Colorado State opened the second quarter on fire, extending the lead to 11 with 4:31 left in the half. Mya Hansen hit a jumper to cut the lead to nine, but the Rams responded with an 8-0 run to make it 40-23. Naro scored a layup, then dropped a dime to Trista Hull with 28 seconds left in the half to cut the Colorado State lead to 13 as the teams entered the locker room.
Anna Ostlie and Abby Muse each scored five points in the quarter, but the Broncos trailed Colorado State by 16 entering the final period. Boise State scored the first four points of the fourth quarter, but Colorado State responded with a 7-2 run to put the game away.
