Chung Tabbed Freshman of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Leia Chung was named the Mountain West Women's Golf Freshman of the Week following her performance at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational at the Sunbrook Golf Course, March 9-11.
Chung secured her third top-25 finish this season, carding rounds of 73-77-73 (+7). The Wahiawa, Hawaii, native concluded the second round tied for 21st, but climbed the leaderboard during the final 18 holes, ultimately finishing tied for 14th.
Chung, who earned conference freshman of the month honors in September 2022, is the first women's golf student-athlete in Bronco history to earn multiple MW accolades in a single season.
Next, Boise State is slated to compete in the Anuenue Spring Break Classic in Maui, Hawaii, at the Ka'anapali Royal Golf Course. The three-day tournament will commence March 27.
