DAVIS, Calif. – Boise State finished 1-1 at the UC Davis Tournament, Saturday. The Broncos (19-6) fell to the host school 3-2 in the opening dual before concluding the day with a 4-1 decision over Santa Clara.
The squad suffered its sixth loss of the season in the opening contest against UC Davis. Boise State won on the No. 4 and No. 5 courts, but dropped matches in the top three positions as the Aggies prevailed 3-2.
The Sandy Broncos bounced back against Santa Clara, with Ava Anderson and Rorianna Chartier picking up a straight-set win at the No. 2 position to give Boise State a 1-0 lead. After dropping the first set, Kaylee Mejia and Elli Wolthuis mounted a comeback to secure a 2-0 Bronco lead. Joey Benson and Aris Vetter won the clinching point for the team, winning 21-11, 21-15 at the No. 5 position.
- Aris Vetter won her 13th match at the No. 5 position on the season, breaking the program's single-season record for most wins at the spot. Vetter passed current teammates Joey Benson and Emilia Guerra-Acuña, who each recorded 12 victories a season ago.

Boise State returns to action Saturday, April 15 for a two-day event in Seattle, Wash. The Blue and Orange will square off against Oregon, Portland and Washington on Saturday before competing in bracket play on Sunday.Weekend Results
