BOISE, Idaho – Boise State beach volleyball added Marlayna Bullington to its 2023-24 roster, head coach Allison Voigt announced Thursday.

Bullington joins the program as a graduate transfer from Austin Peay. She was a standout player over the past three seasons for the Governors, where she played a majority of her career on the top court. She has the best winning percentage in program history (.680) and is third in all-time wins (51).

The Portland, Tenn., native finished 20-9 this past season with all but one win coming on the No. 1 court. As a redshirt sophomore, Bullington was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year and was named the OVC Pair of the Year alongside partner Kelsey Mead.

"We're excited that Marlayna is coming to Boise State," Voigt said. "She is coming with a lot of experience and will make an impact right away. She plays at a very high level, brings a winning attitude and is very crafty. We're really looking forward to having her on our team."

The Broncos are coming off the best season in program history in their first year with the Southland Conference. Boise State won a program-record 25 duals and finished as the runner-up at the SLC Tournament.
