TEMPE, Ariz. - The Boise State women's tennis program was named a 2023 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, the organization announced on Monday.

The award marks the 17th time in the last 18 years that the Broncos have been honored by the ITA. To be named an All-Academic Team, programs must generate a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher over the entire academic year. With a 3.79 GPA, the team tied with gymnastics for the highest cumulative GPA of Boise State's athletic programs.

"It's really incredible how our team continues to push forward such a high standard on the academic side as well as accomplishing special things on the court," head coach Beck Roghaar said. "I think this area of being successful and being champions in everything you do has become an extremely important part of the fabric of our culture."

The team had eight student-athletes also earn individual scholar-athlete honors for achieving a GPA of 3.5 or higher:

Joana Baptisa
Ana Conde Vendrell
Nicole Discenza
Pauline Ernstberger
Shauna Heffernan
Ryan Kershner
Bhakti Shah
Holly Stewart

"This is a great reflection on the team around our team," Roghaar said. "These results aren't surprising when you have great people around you that support and push you towards your goals."
