LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Boise State beach volleyball program earned the United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, the AVCA announced, Thursday.
The Broncos picked up the award for the fifth-straight season and the sixth time in the last seven years. Boise State was one of three teams from the Southland Conference to receive the recognition.
The 15 members on the Bronco roster combined for a 3.56 cumulative GPA during the 2022-23 academic year. The award, which was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, is given annually to volleyball teams that maintain a year-long GPA of 3.3 or higher.
"I'm very proud of our team this season," head coach Allison Voigt said. "We have a tremendous group that came in determined to uphold our standard of academic success. They worked hard in the classroom the entire year and I'm glad their hard work is being recognized."
