BOISE, Idaho – Haleigh Krause has been named assistant coach for Boise State women's golf, head coach Kailin Downs announced, Monday.
Â
Krause played four seasons at San Diego State (2014-15 through 2017-18) and averaged 75.62 in 31 events as a member of the Aztecs' lineup.
Â
"Having a full-time assistant is a huge step forward for our team and says a lot about the commitment (Boise State Director of Athletics) Jeramiah (Dickey) is making to advance each program," Downs said. "I have known Haleigh and the Krause family since very early in my coaching career, and the quality of person we are getting in Haleigh is beyond question. I am so excited to have her energy, passion and golf knowledge coming to Boise State."
Â
A native of Eugene, Ore., Krause captured medalist honors at the 2017 Oregon Women's Stroke Play Championship. She won the CSU San Marcos Invitational as a sophomore at San Diego State and finished tied for 11th at the Mountain West Championship during her junior campaign.
Â
"I'm so excited for this amazing opportunity," Krause said. "College golf was one of the most exciting parts of my life and I can't wait to start coaching."
Â
Since graduating from San Diego State, Krause has been teaching and working on her PGA Class A certification.
