BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's tennis head coach Beck Roghaar has announced on Friday that Megan LaLone will transition into the role of assistant coach.

LaLone, who played in the program under Roghaar from 2012-16, enters her second season coaching with Boise State after serving as a volunteer assistant coach last season.

"Megan has always made such a positive impact on our program," Roghaar said. "She did a phenomenal job last year as our volunteer assistant, and as her role expands this season, she will be able to impact in even greater ways moving forward. Megan is a great coach and having walked in our student-athletes' shoes not too long ago, she adds so much value mentoring and guiding our team to maximizing their time in the program."

In her first season coaching with the Broncos, she led the squad to its best conference tournament finish since joining the Mountain West in 2011-12. The run included a 4-3 upset win over No. 55 San Diego State in the quarterfinal, before the team fell to eventual tournament-champion UNLV in the MW semifinals.

"I am so excited that I get to continue working with an amazing staff and tennis team," LaLone said. "My time as a student-athlete at Boise State with Beck was one of the best experiences of my life and I am thrilled to be able to help create that experience for other athletes."

LaLone earned two all-conference honors for doubles and was named a two-time Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Academic All-American. LaLone was also a four-time Academic All-Mountain West Team selection.

The former Bronco is decorated all over the record book as well. LaLone currently has the sixth most career singles wins in all matches with 81 and the fourth most career singles matches played with 136. She also is tied for ninth for most career singles wins in dual matches with 51.
