The Broncos are set to travel to USATF, Colo., to compete at the ITA Bedford Cup, Sept. 14-17, hosted by Air Force.

Notables
  • UP NOW: Boise State women's tennis looks to build off last week's success as they travel to Colorado for the ITA Bedford Cup, Sept. 14-17, hosted by Air Force.
  • LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos secured victory at the Idaho State Invite, Sept. 8-10. Ariadna Briones Ginesta and Ana Conde Vendrell went undefeated and claimed the championship title in the top doubles flight of the tournament. Ryan Kershner and Ella Piron also had a good showing, falling short to Idaho State's Asem Shoybek and Stefanya Shalakhova in the championship match of their flight. Piron also started off strong in singles before being bested by Sydney Morris of Idaho State in the championship match.
  • WHO'S IN: Eight Broncos will participate at the ITA Bedford Cup. Lorelyz Marruffo and Nicole Discenza will compete together in doubles, as well as Joana Baptisa and Briones Ginesta. Pauline Ernstberger and Shauna Heffernan will return to action together, followed by Conde Vendrell and Kershner. Each of the Broncos will also compete individually in singles.
  • SCOUTING THE FIELD: Air Force, BYU, Colorado State, Denver, Idaho State, Montana State, Utah State and Wyoming will join Boise State at the ITA Bedford Cup. Wyoming had the best record (9-1) in the Mountain West last season and claimed the regular-season conference championship title. Colorado State had the fifth best conference record (5-5) and made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament championship before falling to runner-up San Diego State.
  • PAST SUCCESS: At the same tournament last year, Heffernan took home third-place honors in the winner's bracket of the Charlie Singles Draw. In the same draw, Kershner battled and claimed the consolation championship. Ernstberger also had an impressive showing, making a semifinal appearance in the Alpha Draw.
  • MILESTONE TO WATCH: Two Broncos are approaching the 50 career wins milestone. Ernstberger, an All-MW recipient a year ago, enters the weekend with 43 singles wins while Discenza currently sits at 42.
