McAlister Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention List

TYLER, Texas – Boise State wide receiver Eric McAlister was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Honorable Mention list, the Tyler Chamber and SPORTyler announced.
In a 42-18 win over North Dakota, McAlister caught six passes for a career-best 143 yards, marking his first career 100-yard game as a Bronco. The redshirt sophomore snagged two touchdowns in the second half, a 28-yard reception from Taylen Green and a 27-yard reception from Maddux Madsen. Five of his six receptions were for 20 yards or longer, including a season-long 34-yard catch from Green in the first quarter.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, announced in 2012 by the Tyler Chamber and SPORTyler, recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity; specifically, tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals. In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year D1 Texas college. McAlister is a native of Azle, Texas, and graduated from Azle High School.
