Madsen Nominated for Allstate AFCA Good Hands Team

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen has been nominated for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Hands Team, the organizations announced. This year, there are 175 nominees for the team, which recognizes college football players at all levels for their leadership through community service, academics and athletics.
Madsen has been involved in several community service projects during his time as a Bronco, including serving as an ambassador for BroncoBOLD, a student-athlete mental health initiative. He participated in Chalk the Walk, visiting local elementary schools to raise awareness and spread hope during National Suicide Prevention Week, as well as the Best of the BOLD Awards, promoting mental health awareness at local high schools. He also organized a toy drive with Foster & Heart, which offers direct support to foster kids in the Treasure Valley.
Madsen has earned various awards for his efforts in the classroom, including College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, Academic All-Mountain West and MW Scholar-Athlete. He enters the 2026 season with 6,586 yards and 50 touchdowns on 507 career completions, ranking eighth in school history in all three categories. The 2025 MW Championship Offensive MVP was tabbed Preseason All-Pac-12 by Phil Steele and Athlon Sports.
