Broncos Welcome Aztecs to Eras Night

Boise State will host San Diego State for Eras Night (Gordy's Version) on Saturday, Jan. 13. The game will tip off at 2 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena and will be broadcast on the MW Network and 670 KBOI AM.

THE STORY OF US

After dropping their first two Mountain West contests, the Broncos (10-6, 1-2 MW) defeated New Mexico 64-56 on Jan. 6. Dani Bayes drained five 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 21 points in the victory, while Mya Hansen added 13 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Boise State drained 11 3-pointers in the win, marking the sixth time on the year the Broncos have drained 10 or more shots from beyond the arc.

The Aztecs (11-6, 2-2 MW) come to the Treasure Valley fresh off a 72-55 road loss to Wyoming to move to 0-2 in conference road games this season. Of their four conference games, two have gone to overtime, including a 74-71 win over Colorado State and a 71-63 loss to Air Force. San Diego State is efficient with the ball, committing just 12.5 turnovers per game, and have had less than 10 turnovers in three of its last five games.

Abby Muse enters Saturday's contest ranked second nationally with 3.6 blocks per game and third nationally with 58 total blocks. After shattering the program's single-season block record last season with 93 blocks, the senior is already in fifth place in the program's single-season record books with 58 blocks.

Natalie Pasco has an opportunity to become the fourth Bronco on the current roster to eclipse the 500-point mark, entering Saturday's game with 486 career points. The sophomore would join seniors Abby Muse, Elodie Lalotte and Mary Kay Naro, who all reached the accomplishment last season. Pasco, who is averaging 13.8 points per game on 42.8% shooting, has scored in double-digits in all but three games on the year.

Head coach Gordy Presnell has recorded 125 MW wins in his career, the third-most in league history and the most of any active coach. Presnell, who coached his 1,100th career game on Saturday at New Mexico, trails Elaine Elliot (130) and Joe Legerski (159).
