Boise State Cross Country Represents at the USATF Cross Country Championships

RICHMOND, Va. – One current and two former Broncos qualified for spots on Team USATF at the USATF Cross Country Championships, Jan. 20.

Allie Ostrander (2015-19) and Ahmed Muhumed (2017-20) both made Team USATF in the Women's and Men's 10k, respectively, while Julia Kiesler was named an alternate for the team for the U20 Women's 6k. They will represent their teams at the World Athletics Cross Country Championships, March 30, in Belgrade, Serbia.

Kiesler, the 2023 Mountain West Cross Country Freshman of the Year, ran the U20 Women's 6k in 21:10.2 as she came in eighth.

Ostrander competed in the Women's 10k and finished in fourth with a time of 33:52.5. Muhumed finished third in the Men's 10k with a time of 29:12.3.

Forest Braden (2002-06) competed in the Masters Men's 8k and claimed victory as he finished with a time of 22:30.2. Braden holds the Boise State record on the men's side for most cross country victories with seven titles.
