
Boise State Falls to UNLV

BOISE, Idaho –Boise State women's basketball fell to UNLV, 84-63, on Wednesday night at ExtraMile Arena.
Natalie Pasco led the Broncos (13-7, 4-3 Mountain West) in scoring with 21 points, while Mya Hansen and Dani Bayes added 12 and 10, respectively.
Both teams struggled to score in the opening period, combining to shoot 18.5% in the quarter as the Lady Rebels (16-2, 6-1 MW) led 11-5 after the first frame.
UNLV scored 12-straight points to start the second quarter to take a 23-5 lead. Pasco stopped the bleeding with five-consecutive points and Alyssa Christensen knocked down a 3-pointer to cut the lead to 13 with 3:19 left in the period. The Lady Rebels increased their lead to 19 late in the half, but the Broncos closed with four points and trailed 34-19 at intermission.
Hansen and Pasco combined to score 12 points to open the third quarter, but UNLV maintained a 50-33 advantage at the media timeout. The Lady Rebels stretched their lead to 21, entering the fourth quarter with a 60-39 lead.
The Broncos didn't back down, opening the final stanza with a 13-4 run to cut the Rebel lead to 64-52 with 5:36 left on the clock. UNLV responded with an 11-3 run to solidify its victory.
