
Pasco Named MW Preseason All-Conference

Broncos Picked Fourth in Preseason Poll
LAS VEGAS – Boise State women's basketball guard Natalie Pasco was named to the Mountain West Preseason All-Conference Team, the league announced ahead of its media day, Wednesday. She is one of ten players to earn the preseason honor.Â

Boise State was also picked to finish fourth in the league's preseason poll.
The junior is coming off a breakout season a year ago, earning a spot on the All-MW team. Pasco was the team's leading scorer at 13.2 points per game, leading the team in scoring in 20 games on the season. The Danville, California native netted 20+ points seven times on the year, including a 27-point performance against San Diego on Dec. 21. Her 463 points on the season are the 10th most in program history.

Pasco was extremely efficient behind the arc, leading the MW in total 3-pointers (84) and finished the year second in 3-point percentage (39.3%) and 3-pointers per game (2.4). The sharpshooter drained five or more 3-pointers five times on the season and her 84 total 3-pointers are the third-most in a single season in program history.

In the conference preseason poll, the Broncos were picked to finish fourth for the second-straight season, earning 221 points. UNLV was selected to win the conference, receiving 21 of 30 first-place votes and 298 total points. Wyoming came in second place with 251 points, including three first-place votes. Colorado State received four first-place votes and was picked third with 248 points.

San Diego State picked up the final first-place vote and was slated fifth with 218 points while New Mexico gathered 172 points for a sixth-place projection. Nevada notched 172 points and Air Force received 116 points to finish seventh and eighth, respectively. Fresno State (109 points), San Jose State (60 points) and Utah State (41 points) rounded out the preseason rankings.

Boise State is coming off a 21-14 campaign (10-8 MW) in which they reached the semifinal round of the MW Tournament and earned a spot in the Women's National Invitational Tournament. The squad brings back 12 returners, including all five starters.

The Broncos open with an exhibition matchup against Bushnell on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. MT. The 2024-25 season will officially begin on Monday, Nov. 4, with a contest against Eastern Oregon at 6:30 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena.
