
Broncos to Close Fall in Boulder City

WHAT'S NEXT: The Boise State women's golf team will return to The Clash at Boulder Creek to finish the fall portion of the 2024-25 season. The Broncos will compete at the Boulder Creek Golf Club, located in Boulder City, Nevada. The action begins on Oct. 20 and continues through Oct. 22. Sunday's round will be a 12:30 p.m. MT shotgun start. Monday and Tuesday will feature 9 a.m. MT shotgun starts.

LAST TIME ON THE LINKS: The Broncos overcame windy conditions and a challenging course to tie for fifth at the Dale McNamara Invitational, held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hannah Lim was Boise State's top finisher, tying for 10th for the second-straight tournament. Teal Matsueda backed her by tying for 18th.
LAST YEAR'S CLASH: Boise State fired a school-record 858 (-6) at the 2023 Clash, with three players placing in the top 25. Through two rounds the Broncos stood at 575 (-1), also a program record. The Blue and Orange fired a 282 (-6) in the second round, the second-lowest single-round score in program history. Since then, Boise State has broken the school record for lowest three-round score, firing an 856 (-8) at the 2024 Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
PATTERSON SELECTED FOR NCAA X META EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM: Junior Brooke Patterson was one of 100 NCAA female student-athletes selected to participate in the NCAA x Meta Empowerment Program, a collaboration that will help maximize their name, image and likeness endeavors throughout their time as college athletes. The program will include education on building a community, using social media safety resources and preparing for the future. Corporate partner Invesco QQQ will assist the NCAA in building a financial literacy and career development session. Led by the Meta Sports Partnerships team, the program focuses on women athletes, striving to provide equity and level the playing field for women in the NIL era.
DOWNS INDUCTED INTO UNM HALL OF HONOR: On Oct. 8, head coach Kailin Downs was one of six people inducted into the University of New Mexico Athletic Hall of Honor. During her time with the Lobos, Downs was a two-time All-American, a two-time Mountain West Player of the Year, the MW Freshman of the Year and a four-time All-MW selection. She received the Edith Cumming Munson Award, given annually to the All-American with the highest GPA, and earned NGCA All-American Scholar honors three times.
