Broncos Cap Fall With Record-Breaking Week

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Boise State women's golf team closed the fall portion of the 2024-25 season with a historic performance at The Clash at Boulder Creek, breaking a pair of school records and notching several individual highlights. The Broncos finished with a team score of 846 (-18), the lowest in school history by eight strokes. The Blue and Orange also set the program record for lowest 36-hole score, firing a 566 (-10) in two rounds.
 
Individually, Jillian Hui and Brooke Patterson led the Broncos, tying for ninth at 210 (-6), the second-lowest score in school history. Teal Matsueda shot a career-low 212 (-4) to finish 17th.

Notables
  • The Broncos broke the school record for lowest 54-hole score, firing an 846 (-18). The previous record was 856 (-8), recorded earlier this season at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic.
  • Boise State also set the school record for lowest 36-hole score with a 566 (-10). This is nine strokes better than the previous low, which was recorded three times, all under Downs.
  • The second-round score of 279 (-9) is the second-best round in program history. The third-round score of 280 (-8) is the third-best.
  • Jillian Hui and Brooke Patterson both shot a 210 (-6), tying the second-best 54-hole score in program history.
  • Hui and Patterson tied for ninth, the highest finish of their careers. This marked Patterson's second-career top-10 finish and Hui's first. Patterson has six-career top-25 finishes while Hui has four.
  • Hui fired a 66 (-6) on the second day, a career-low and the third-best single-round score in program history. Her 36-hole score of 137 (-7) also ranks third in school history.
  • Patterson equaled her career-low in the first round, firing a 69 (-3). She totaled 139 (-5) through two rounds, tying for fifth in program history.
  • Teal Matsueda's final-round score of 68 (-4) ties for ninth in school history. Her 54-hole score of 212 (-4) ranks 10th in program history. She tied for 17th, her third top-25 finish of the season and seventh of her career.
  • Emily Cadwell matched her career-low with a 71 (-1) in the final round.
  • Macee Greenwood shot a season-best 73 (+1) in the first round and totaled a career-low 225 (+9) on the week.
What's Next
The Broncos return to action in 2025, competing in Mountain Classic Match Play from Feb. 10-12. The tournament will be played at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, California.
