BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's basketball had its best performance of the season on Sunday, utilizing a complete team effort to dismantle Weber State, 96-46, in ExtraMile Arena.
The win marks the seventh 6-0 start in program history for the Broncos, including the third under head coach Gordy Presnell. The victory also marks the team's second 50+ point margin of victory on the season.
Boise State shot 48.5% from the floor in the win, including 15 total 3-pointers. Defensively, Boise State held the Wildcats (2-4) to 30.2% shooting and 18.8% from beyond the arc.
Three Broncos finished in double figures in the win. Elodie Lalotte tallied a season-high 19 points off the bench on an 8-of-8 performance from the field. Natalie Pasco drained four 3-pointers to finish with 18 points, while Tatum Thompson added 15.
Lalotte was dominant from the start. Checking in off the bench with the game tied at six, the fifth-year senior poured in nine points in the quarter as Boise State led 18-9 after the first frame.
Dani Bayes scored four quick points to start the second period for the Broncos, opening up the floor for the rest of the team. The Blue and Orange drilled four 3-pointers in the quarter as the team took a 42-20 lead to the locker room.
Boise State didn't let up in the second half, with Pasco and Bayes hitting back-to-back 3-pointers to spark an 8-0 run out of the gates. Thompson scored seven consecutive points midway through the quarter, starting a 14-2 Bronco run.
