Broncos Host Air Force to Open 2025

WHAT'S NEXT:Â Boise State will open the 2025 calendar year with its first Mountain West home contest of the season. The Broncos (10-4, 0-1 MW) will host Air Force on Wednesday, Jan. 1, at 6:30 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena. The game will be broadcast on the MW Network and 670 KBOI AM.
THE OPPONENT:Â The Falcons (10-3, 0-1 MW) are coming off a 69-63 loss to New Mexico on Sunday. Known for its aggressive defensive tenacity, Air Force ranks first among MW teams in steals per game (13.0), 3-point percentage defense (26.9%) and turnovers forced per game (16.8). Offensively, the Falcons are led by returning All-MW guard Milhanie Perry (16.2 ppg) and Madison Smith (14.5 ppg).
LAST TIME OUT:Â The Broncos dropped their first game of the league play on Sunday, falling to San Diego State 74-59 in Viejas Arena. Boise State was outshot 52.7% to 35.6% and was outscored in the paint 48-20.
MYA CAME TO PLAY:Â Mya Hansen returned from the holiday break with a vengeance, pouring in 18 points against the Aztecs. The junior guard shot 6-of-11 from the floor, drained all five free throw attempts, and dished out three assists. The game marked Hansen's 11th career game scoring over 15 points.
CAN'T BE STOPPED:Â Natalie Pasco recorded her 50th career game in double figures, finishing the contest against San Diego State with 10 points. The junior sharpshooter has scored in double figures in 10 games on the year, including in each of the past five. The conference leader in 3-point percentage (45.5%), Pasco is closing in on reaching the top five in program history in career 3-pointers, needing 10 more to break the mark.
CHASING HISTORY:Â With the program's all-time block record already under her name, Abby Muse has her sights set on yet another program mark. The Brentwood, Calif., native sits at 1,012 career rebounds, 13 rebounds shy of the program record (1,025) set by Karla Meier (1977-82).
