Boise State Hosts New Mexico on Wednesday

Boise State will begin a two-game homestand on Wednesday, Feb. 21, against New Mexico. The contest will tip off at 6:30 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and 670 KBOI AM.

The two teams are within a game of each other in the MW standings. The Lobos (18-8, 9-4 MW) are tied for second in the league and have a one-game lead over the Broncos (17-9, 8-5 MW). Boise State defeated New Mexico 64-56 earlier in the season on Jan. 6 at The Pit.

The Broncos are coming off a heartbreaking overtime loss to Nevada, falling 68-65 on Saturday. The two teams are now tied for fourth place in the league, with the Wolf Pack holding the tiebreak. Elodie Lalotte scored a season-high 19 points in the loss, finishing 8-of-17 from the floor. Natalie Pasco netted 16 points for the squad, while Mya Hansen added 12.

Mary Kay Naro has a chance to move up in the record book. The senior guard enters Wednesday's contest with 448 career assists, good for fourth-place in program history. She could potentially pass Tricia Bader (1991-96), who dished out 451 assists, and current graduate assistant Jayde Christopher (2018-20), who recorded 457 assists. Naro has been on a tear lately, recording 32 assists over the last five games.

Pasco has been a consistent force for the Broncos, scoring in double figures in each of the last seven contests. The sophomore leads the conference in 3-point field goal percentage (42.8%), 3-pointers per game (2.6) and total 3-pointers (68).
