Broncos Travel to Logan for Quad Meet

THE MEET:Â The Broncos will travel to Logan, Utah for a quad meet at 7 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 23. Boise State will compete against Mountain West rival Utah State, as well as nonconference opponents No. 29 Iowa State and Texas Woman's.
LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos scored a season-high 196.650 to defeat Southern Utah  and Sacramento State. Courtney Blackson matched her career-high and the program record on floor, finishing first with a score of 9.950. Emily Lopez won on bars with a season-best 9.950. Adriana Popp took first on beam, scoring a 9.950 and matching her career-high.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS :Â Iowa State is currently ranked 29th in the Road to Nationals rankings. The Cyclones enter the match 4-5, coming off a win (195.675) to West Virginia (195.250) and loss to Denver (197.350). Texas Woman's enters the quad meet averaging a team score of 194.195 with a 3-9 overall record. Utah State comes into the quad meet off a victory after defeating MW rival San Jose State 195.925-195.725 in Logan, Utah.
BRONCOS X MW WEEKLY AWARDS:Â Senior Courtney Blackson earned Floor Specialist of the Week, matching her career-high and the program record on the apparatus for finishing with a 9.950. Senior Emily Lopez was named the Bars Specialist of the Week for the fifth time this season after tying her season-high score of 9.950 on the apparatus, as well as the Vault Specialist of the Week after scoring a season-best 9.900 and finishing second. Fifth-year senior Adriana Popp was tabbed the Beam Specialist of the Week, for the first time in the 2024 campaign, after matching her career-best with a score of 9.950.
BRONCOS X NATIONAL RANKINGS:Â Boise State is tied at 23rd and 25th, nationally, on floor (49.225) and beam (48.988), respectively. Individually, Emily Lopez is tied for 7th nationally on bars (9.917).
