Boise State women's basketball will compete in its final home game of the season on Saturday, March 2, against Air Force. The game will tip off at 2 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena and will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and 670 KBOI AM.ÂWHAT'S AT STAKE
The Broncos (19-10, 10-6 MW) enter the contest tied with Wyoming for third place in the MW standings. Boise State can clinch a first-round bye at the 2024 MW Basketball Championships with a win and a loss from either Colorado State and San Diego State, both of whom sit a game back from the Broncos with a 9-7 league record.Â750 CLUB
Head coach Gordy Presnell enters Saturday's contest with 749 collegiate wins. With a victory Saturday, Presnell would become the 30th NCAA women's basketball head coach to reach 750 career wins and the 15th among active coaches. Two Broncos have an opportunity to etch their names in the Bronco record books on Saturday. Mary Kay Naro sits at third place on the program's all-time assist list with 455 dimes, and has a good chance of passing current graduate assistant coach Jayde Christopher (457) on Saturday. Abby Muse enters the matchup in fourth place in the all-time record book with 884 career rebounds, trailing JoAnn Burrell (887) and Shalen Shaw (888).ÂLAST TIME OUT
Boise State led for a majority of the game, but ultimately dropped the contest against No. 24 UNLV, Wednesday night. Mya Hansen and Tatum Thompson combined for 21 points in the second half, but couldn't overcome a dominant fourth quarter from the Lady Rebels, falling 63-57.ÂTHE OPPONENT
The Falcons (14-16, 7-10 MW) currently sit in ninth place in the conference standings. Air Force is led by Milahnie Perry, who is the third-leading scorer in the league averaging 16.3 points per game. The Broncos hold an 11-0 all-time advantage over Air Force at ExtraMile Arena and boast a 23-3 all-time series lead.SENIOR RECOGNITION
