BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's tennis lost 4-2 to New Mexico, Thursday afternoon, at Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
The Lobos (15-1, 4-0 MW) jumped out to an early lead over the Broncos (6-9, 2-3 MW) after clinching the doubles point with victories on courts one and two.
Ariadna Briones Ginesta started singles strong for the Broncos on court six, evening the score 1-1 after a victory over New Mexico's Maria Sodre 6-3, 6-0. Shauna Heffernan followed her lead on court four, defeating Maud Vandeputte 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.
The Lobos won the next three matches on courts three, five two, clinching the match with an overall score of 4-2.
