Okemgbo Wins 400m Hurdles at Mike Fanelli Track Classic

BOISE, Idaho – Nyenuchi Okemgbo finished first in the women's 400-meter hurdles to highlight a split weekend for the Boise State track and field team.

Okemgbo finished with a season-best time of 1:04.35 to win the event at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic. Boise State's women's 4x400-meter relay team (Ciara Brown, Maggie Shirazi, Rebecca Vander Poel and Gabriella Chiara) notched a podium-finish at the same meet, placing third in 4:07.63.

At the Stanford Invitational, Trevor Cogley highlighted the Broncos' performances, placing 14th in the men's 400m in 48.45.

Between the two meets, all the 5000-meter runners set a personal best, accounting for 11 of the 17 new times.

Notables

The Broncos established 17-career bests on the weekend.
Boise State registered two top-five finishes.
