AIKEN, S.C. – Boise State men's golf was led by two top-10 finishers to highlight the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, Tuesday at the Palmetto Golf Club. Alex Talbot finished in a tie for fourth, and Cole Rueck was tied for sixth.

It is the first time two Broncos have finished in the top 10 of the same tournament since the program had three in the top 10 at the Redhawk Invitational (April 4-5, 2022). Talbot was tied for seventh at that event.

Talbot had back-to-back rounds under-par to open the tournament and finished at par with a 210 (69-69-72) to notch the best finish of his career. He was followed by Rueck who finished 2-over 212 (68-71-73). It marks the best finish of his career in a full team event – his T-4th effort was in the individual field of the 2022 Husky Classic.

As a team Boise State finished seventh.

NOTABLE

Boise State had two golfers in the top 10 for the first time since placing three in the top 10 at the Redhawk Invitational (April 4-5, 2022).
Coincidentally, Alex Talbot was also a top-10 finisher at that tournament.
Talbot's T-4th finish is a career-high.
Cole Rueck notched his third-career top-10 finish, and his T-6th finish is the best at a full event in his career.
Boise State's 173 pars were tied for the most of the field.
Talbot and Rueck were tied for fifth in the field in par-4 scoring (4.03).
Rueck led the field with 41 pars.
