WHAT'S NEXT: The Boise State women's golf team is set to compete in its first invitational of the spring, playing at the Pizza Hut-Lady Thunderbird Invitational from March 7-9. The event will be held at the Sunbrook Golf Club, located in St. George, Utah.
THE FIELD: Boise State, Southern Utah (Host), Cal State Bakersfield, Cal State Northridge, Idaho State, Montana, Oral Roberts, Portland State, Stetson, Utah Tech, Utah Valley, Weber State, Wyoming.
LAST TIME ON THE LINKS: Boise State opened the spring with Mountain Classic Match Play in Palm Springs, Calif. The Broncos finished fourth, as Teal Matsueda picked up two wins. They continued with two-round tri-match against Long Beach State and UC Riverside, where they finished second at 572 (+4). Leia Chung earned her first collegiate victory, finishing -3 (139). Matsueda fired a -3 (67) in the second round and was recognized as the Mountain West Freshman of the Week.
LAST YEAR'S PIZZA HUT-LADY THUNDERBIRD INVITATIONAL: The Broncos finished third among 16 teams, tallying an 887 (+23), two strokes behind co-champions California Baptist and Wyoming. In the final round, the Blue and Orange carded a tournament-low 291 (+3). Franca Polla paced Boise State with a 218 (+2), tying for third in the field of 95. Elli Gordon (222, +6) recorded a season-best finish at 11th and Hannah Lim (224, +8) notched a career-best 19th-place finish.
