Broncos Double Up Bulldogs

BOISE, Idaho – Alycia Flores was 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead Boise State past Fresno State 10-5, Saturday.
 
Flores homered, one of three the Broncos (26-18, 6-6 Mountain West) hit in the game.
 
"I am really proud of our response today," head coach Justin Shults said. "Our offense was much better and Jenna Bloom and Abby Dowell were good in the circle."
 
Bloom (6-3) went the first 4 2/3 innings to earn the win and Dowell recorded the final seven outs for her second save.
 
Boise State jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Sydney Groves hit her conference-leading 16th home run of the season.
 
After the Bulldogs (27-13, 7-5) tied the game in the second, Hollie Farmer homered in the bottom of the frame to give the Broncos a 2-1 lead. Flores extended the lead to 4-1 with a two-run homer in the third.
 
Boise State led 4-3 in the fifth and increased the lead to 7-3 on RBI-single from Flores, Jordyn Hutchins and Farmer.
 
Fresno State closed within 7-5 in the sixth, but Boise State took advantage of two errors and capped a three-run rally in the home half of the inning with a two-run single by Leah McAnally.
