CRESWELL, Ore. – Boise State men's golf alumnus Hugo Townsend has been named to the Mountain West's 25th Season Team, the conference announced ahead of tomorrow's start to the 2024 Mountain West Men's Golf Championships.

The Mountain West is celebrating its 25th Season of excellence on and off the field of play. During each Mountain West Championship in 2023-24, the Conference has recognized a 25th Season Team. The teams have been determined by the Mountain West 25th Season Committee, comprised of members from the 11 full-time institutions.

Townsend ended his Boise State career as the only two-time All-American in program history – he joined Tory Merritt as the only other All-American – after earning third team honors in 2020-21 and honorable mention honors in 2021-22.

A two-time Mountain West golfer of the year, Townsend is the only Bronco to earn the honor twice. His 70.96 scoring average for his career is second on the program record book. He is also second in career top-25 finishes (32) and owns the school record for par-or-better rounds (71).

Townsend finished his Boise State career following the 2021-22 season and led the Broncos to two NCAA Regional appearances. The Swedish international is currently competing professionally.

The Mountain West Championships run April 26-28 at Emerald Valley Golf Club.
