Women's Tennis to Host Final Home Match of the Season

  • WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State will play at home for the last time this season as it hosts UNLV on Sunday, April 7, at 11 a.m. MT at Appleton Tennis Center. The team's five seniors will be honored prior to the match.
  • SCOUTING THE REBELS: UNLV enters the weekend 10-6 overall and are 3-2 in Mountain West play. The Broncos have only won one of the matchups against the Rebels in program history, with UNLV leading the all-time series 10-1.
  • SENIOR DAY:
    • BAPS: Joana Baptista, originally from Porto, Portugal, has earned All-MW singles and doubles honors twice in her time as a Bronco. She is currently 13th all-time in doubles wins with 67 and 19th all-time in singles wins with 62. Baptista is a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-MW selection and MW Scholar-Athlete. The Portugal native will graduate in May with a degree in sociology.
    • ANA: Ana Conde Vendrell joined the Broncos from Paris, France. She has earned 38 singles and 45 doubles victories in her Boise State career. She is a four-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-MW selection and MW Scholar-Athlete. Conde Vendrell will be graduating in May with degrees in political science and sociology.
    • NICKS: Nicole Discenza is from Maracay, Venezuela, and has tallied 60 singles wins and 56 doubles wins. She was named Ford Student Athlete of the Week on Nov. 9, 2023, for her strong performances at the San Diego State Classic II. She is a two-time All-MW doubles honoree, three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, three-time Academic All-MW selection and a three-time MW Scholar-Athlete. Discenza will be graduating in May with a degree in Psychology.
    • LINI: A native of Bruchsal, Germany, Pauline Ernstberger has earned All-MW singles honors and MW Player of the Week honors three times in her career. Ernstberger is currently tied for sixth all-time with 21 victories on the top court and playing alongside Heffernan, the pair is tied for seventh all-time victories with 34 wins. Ernstberger has 57 career singles wins and 66 doubles wins. She has been named a three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, three-time Academic All-MW selection and a three-time MW Scholar-Athlete, and will be graduating with a degree in business administration in May.
    • SHAUNA: Shauna Heffernan came to the Broncos from Claremorris, Ireland. She is currently 11th all time in doubles wins as a Bronco with 69. Playing alongside Ernstberger, the pair is tied for seventh all-time victories with 34 wins. The Ireland native has accumulated 41 singles and 69 doubles victories as a Bronco. She is a All-MW doubles honoree, three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, three-time MW Scholar-Athlete and a two-time Academic All-MW selection. Heffernan will be graduating in May with a degree in Kinesiology.
