GOLETA, Calif. – Alex Talbot made 11 birdies to finish two strokes back of the top 10 at the Gaucho Invitational, Tuesday at Sand Piper Golf Club.

Talbot opened the tournament with a 5-under 67 in the first round – the best round of this Bronco career – and ended the 54-hole tournament at 4-under. He fired rounds of 67-72-73 (212) over the week.

As a team, Boise State finished 10th in the field at 882 (287-302-293, +18) in its final regular season tournament of the spring.

Boise State will host Idaho in the Battle for Idaho, April 15-16. The dual will be held at Hillcrest Country Club in Boise, Idaho, and it will be the final tuneup for the Broncos prior to the Mountain West Championships.
