Broncos Wrap Up Season at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Boise State track and field concluded its season at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, May 22-25.
 
Brian Kiprotich started the week for the Broncos, as he finished 19th in the semifinals of the men's 10,000-meter on day one. He finished in 29:32.09 to place 19th. The following day Ines Borba finished 40th in the women's 10,000m, running it in 36:04.42.
 
In the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, Austen Apperson took home 38th place in 9:17.22. On the women's side of the event, Emily Jobes and Hanna Ackermann placed 19th and 44th with times of 10:24.79 and 11:14.30, respectively.
 
Notables
  • Brian Kiprotich finished 26 spots ahead of his ranking going into the semifinals of the men's 10,000m.
  • Kiprotich and Emily Jobes missed qualifying for the national championships by only seven spots.
