Broncos Wrap Up Season at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Boise State track and field concluded its season at the NCAA West Preliminary Round, May 22-25.

Brian Kiprotich started the week for the Broncos, as he finished 19th in the semifinals of the men's 10,000-meter on day one. He finished in 29:32.09 to place 19th. The following day Ines Borba finished 40th in the women's 10,000m, running it in 36:04.42.

In the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, Austen Apperson took home 38th place in 9:17.22. On the women's side of the event, Emily Jobes and Hanna Ackermann placed 19th and 44th with times of 10:24.79 and 11:14.30, respectively.

Notables

Brian Kiprotich finished 26 spots ahead of his ranking going into the semifinals of the men's 10,000m.
Kiprotich and Emily Jobes missed qualifying for the national championships by only seven spots.
