Shields Signs Seversen to NLI

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Head Men's Tennis Coach Luke Shields announced Monday the addition of Michael Seversen to the 2024-25 roster. Seversen hails from Coto de Caza, Calif., and trained at Tier 1 Performance in Newport Beach, Calif.

Seversen recently won the USTA SoCal Sectional U18 championship in singles to earn a berth into the main draw of a 15K futures event in Lakewood, Calif. He also placed third in doubles at the May 24, 2024, USTA National L2 tournament in Sacramento, Calif.

He has been ranked as high as No. 17 nationally by the Tennis Recruiting Network.

Seversen is graduating high school early and will enroll at Boise State this fall. He is a close friend of current Bronco Jett Middleton, who will be a redshirt junior this coming year. Seversen also considered Clemson, SMU and Arkansas.
