Bartsch Heads to Croatia with MW Global Challenge Team

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State senior Paige Bartsch is on her way to Europe with a team from the Mountain West to compete in the 19th Annual Global Challenge at Pula, Croatia. The competition begins July 15 and runs through July 19.
Bartsch is one of 12 student-athletes representing the MW member schools. This year's edition of the MW Global Challenge team is the eighth that the league has sent to Croatia for this competition, dating back to the summer of 2014.
The Broncos have been sending student-athletes to the Global Challenge since 2013, when Katelyn Kinghorn traveled to Pula with a regional high-performance team. Overall, the Broncos have sent 14 student-athletes – including Bartsch – to the tournament.
 The mission of the Global Challenge is to provide teams with international playing experience and exposure. Past tournament participants have included club and country federation teams from Slovenia, Russia, Romania, Germany, Bosnia, Montenegro, China, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Japan, Iran, Sweden, Denmark and Puerto Rico, plus USA regional HP, youth national, junior national, and collegiate teams.
