RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Avery McBride scored two goals and had one assist to guide Boise State women's soccer to a 4-0 victory over UC Riverside, Thursday night.

The Broncos (3-0-0) got on the scoreboard right out of halftime as Jillian Anderson shot one to the back of the net in the 47th minute. McBride was credited with the assist.

McBride decided she wanted in on the action too, scoring less than a minute later from a pass from Carly Cross to extend Boise State's lead to 2-0.

In the 63rd minute, the Broncos were fouled in the box, leaving Morgan Padour with a successful penalty kick.

McBride received a pass from Olivia Collins to score once more in the 84th minute to finalize the Broncos' lead at 4-0.

Genevieve Crenshaw earned the shutout over the Highlanders (1-4-0) with two saves on the night.

Avery McBride recorded her first two-career goals, as well as her first-career assist.
Jillian Anderson scored her first-career goal in her first-career start.
Morgan Padour scored her second goal of the season on the first penalty kick of her career.

The Broncos earned their second win over UC Riverside, leading the overall series 2-0-1.

Genevieve Crenshaw is now tied with assistant coach Liz Ruiz for the second-most goalkeeper wins in Bronco history. They both hold 29 victories.
Carly Cross now leads the current roster with 11 career assists.
Jillian Anderson recorded her first-career start, which also marks the first start of all Bronco freshmen this season.

Boise State will take a trip to Provo, Utah, on Wednesday, Sept. 4 to play BYU. The Cougars are currently tied for 16th in the national United Soccer Coaches College Rankings. The contest will begin at 7 p.m. MT and broadcast on ESPN+.
