BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Women's Tennis Head Coach Beck Roghaar announced the team's 2024 fall schedule, Tuesday.
For the first time in NCAA history, an individual champion will be crowned in the fall, as the NCAA Individual Championships are set for Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas.
The team will compete in two home events, both in September. The Blue and Orange will begin the fall season by hosting Idaho at the Boise State Classic, Sept. 20-22. Simultaneously, players who earn qualification will travel to Cary, North Carolina, to compete in doubles play at the ITA All-American Championships, Sept. 21-29.
Boise State will host its second home event and the seventh annual Barb Chandler Classic, Sept. 27-29, at the Appleton Tennis Center. The team posted a 16-7 singles record and 7-5 doubles record at the tournament in 2023, and will look to win the top flight for the third consecutive year.
Four days later, the Broncos will head to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the first installment of the Mountain West Fall Qualifier, Oct. 2-5.
Following conference qualifiers, Boise State will compete in the ITA Mountain Regional Championships in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Oct 16-20. Nicole Discenza and Lorelyz Marruffo were the top performers at the regional championships last season, advancing to the round of 16 in doubles.
The squad will then open November with the Oregon Invitational in Eugene, Oregon, Nov. 1-3.
The ITA Conference Masters and Sectional Championships will both run Nov. 7-10. The singles and doubles winners of the Mountain West Fall Qualifier will earn automatic qualification to the conference masters tournament. Only players and doubles teams who have yet to earn entry into the NCAA Championships and have made deep runs at the ITA All-American or ITA Regional Championships will be eligible for participation in the sectional championships.
Boise State will conclude its fall regular season at the Arizona Invitational Nov. 15-17, in Tucson, Arizona.
