
McBride’s Two Goals Guide Broncos to Senior Day Victory

BOISE, Idaho – Avery McBride scored two goals to lead Boise State women's soccer to a 3-0 victory over Southern Utah, Sunday afternoon.
The Broncos (6-1-0) and Thunderbirds (1-5-2) went into halftime tied 0-0 with Boise State outshooting Southern Utah, 13-3 in the first half.
Carly Cross was the first on the scoreboard as she snuck one in on the right side of the goal in the 50th minute. She received the ball from Jillian Anderson's free kick that deflected off a Southern Utah player.
McBride followed just a few minutes later, scoring in the 53rd minute off a cross from Sophie Drown in the box.
McBride added another in the 86th minute after being fouled in the box. She tucked the penalty in the lower right corner, making the final score 3-0.
Genevieve Crenshaw was credited with the win and shutout, recording three saves.
