Remensperger Named MW Freshman of the Week

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State's Kiki Remensperger has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Freshman of the Week for matches played Aug. 30 through Sept. 1. Remensperger had an impressive debut in the Blue and Orange, recording two double-doubles at the Cactus Classic in Tucson, Arizona, where the Broncos went 2-1 overall.

Remensperger came in off the bench in all three matches to split time at setter for the Broncos. She played a big part in the Broncos' victories over Tennessee State and VCU, both by sweeps.

The San Diego, Calif., freshman recorded a combined 44 assists, five service aces, and a team-high 31 digs on the week.

In the season opener against Arizona, Remensperger recorded the first double-double of her career with 17 assists and 14 digs; she also added two service aces.

In Boise State's victory over Tennessee State on Saturday, she tallied 14 assists, two service aces and four digs.

Remensperger wrapped up the weekend with her second double-double on 13 assists and 13 digs in the win over VCU.

The Broncos will be back in action this coming weekend when Boise State heads to Missoula, Mont., for the Ellesyn Invitational, where it will face Southern Miss, Utah Valley and Montana.
