WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State women's basketball will host three-time defending Mountain West Champion UNLV as the second game of a Bronco basketball doubleheader in ExtraMile Arena on Saturday, Jan. 4. The game will tip off at 6 p.m. MT following the men's game against San Diego State and will be broadcast on the MW Network and 670 KBOI AM. A ticket to the men's basketball game will allow for free entry into the women's game.

A TALE OF TWO DYNASTIES: The Broncos (11-4, 1-1 MW) and the Lady Rebels (10-4, 2-0 MW) have been the top teams in the conference over the past decade. The two squads have combined to win seven of the last eight MW Tournament titles and six of the past seven regular season titles (the teams were regular season co-champions in 2017-18). Boise State won four consecutive conference tournament titles from 2017-20, while UNLV has won each of the last three championships and has lost only four conference games over that span.

SCOUTING REPORT: The Lady Rebels enter the contest with a 10-4 mark, with all four losses coming against Power 4 teams. UNLV has four players that are scoring in double figures, led by Amarachi Kimpson's 14.0 points per game. UNLV's Kiara Jackson averages 12.6 points per game and a conference-high 5.0 assists per game. The Lady Rebels lead the MW in scoring offense, averaging 76.1 points per contest.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos responded from a two-game skid with a 66-55 victory over Air Force on Wednesday to maintain a perfect 8-0 home record. Tatum Thompson scored a team-high 14 high points while Dani Bayes recorded her second game this season with three 3-pointers to finish with 13 points. Head coach Gordy Presnell advanced to 17-3 in conference home openers at the helm of the program.

ALL-TIME LEADER: With 1,024 career boards, Abby Muse needs just two rebounds to break Karla Meier's (1977-82) 43-year-old program record of 1,025 career boards. The Brentwood, Calif., native is currently one of four players in MW history to generate over 1,000 points and rebounds in her career. Already the program's career block leader, Muse needs three blocks to become the third player in conference history to record over 300 career blocks.

COACHING MILESTONE: Assistant coach Heather Sower will coach in her 700th game with the program on Saturday. The only person in program history that has been a member of all seven of the team's NCAA National Tournament qualifiers (one as a player and six as a coach), she is responsible for 470 of the program's 843 total victories (55.8%). She has participated in 54.0% of the program's games, including 46.7% of the program's games as an assistant coach. The contest on Saturday will also mark the 1,500th game in program history, with Presnell garnering 43.4% of the squad's all-time victories.
