SALT LAKE CITY – Boise State lost to Utah 91-58 at the Huntsman Arena, Wednesday night.
Mya Hansen gave the Broncos (8-2) an early advantage, knocking down a three to open the night. The senior added another from deep shortly after, but Boise State then went on nearly a three-minute scoring drought. The Broncos responded with an 8-0 run highlighted by back-to-back threes from Natalie Pasco. The first quarter ended tied at 19-19.
The Utes (7-3) took control in the second quarter, outscoring Boise State 28-10 to take a 47-29 lead into halftime. The Broncos suffered another scoring drought, this time stretching nearly five minutes. Utah shot 63.2% (12-of-19) in the period.
At the break, Utah had two players in double figures, Lani White with 14 points and LA Sneed with 10.
Hansen opened the second half the same way she started the first, drilling back-to-back threes. Pasco added another triple shortly after. Utah went on yet another run, this one being 13-0, led by Reese Ross who scored seven points on her own in that stretch. The Utes held onto a 73-48 lead headed into the final quarter.
Utah sealed its victory in the final quarter, led by Chyra Evans with nine points in the quarter. The Utes won 91-58 with the help of game-high scorers White and Sneed, scoring 23 and 17 points, respectively.

"We had a great opportunity to be in this game but Utah was more physical," head coach Gordy Presnell said. "We needed to bring our best and we didn't do that tonight. We need to regroup and get ready for Saturday"
