Boise, Idaho - Boise State Valorant stays strong in the Power Esports Conference, defeating Baylor University 2-0 at the Boise State Esports Arena. This victory continues the Broncos' undefeated record.
The starting roster included Peter Mittelbrun (Skies), Kosmos Sutter (Kos), Griffin Applegate (Skelesis), Wyatt Morrison (Master), and Marshall Hainer (Daimyo)—with the latter being substituted out in Game 2 for Austin Julian (Prestige). This was the second time the Broncos have played more than five players in a PEC game this year.Â
Map one saw Boise State start fast, despite a major game update in the days leading up to the match. Master and Kos both took matters into their own hands, with both players scoring an ace en route to a 13-0 vicotry for the Broncos. It's the first perfect game this season for Boise State, and one of the first in the PEC this season.Â
Game two was much more even, with the Bears roaring back early. Skies got the party started early and often, dropping four first kills. Baylor jumped out to a quick lead, but the Broncos regrouped and took map two, 13-8.
Fast Facts:
The Broncos take on Kansas in next week's featured home game on Wednesday at 6 pm.Â
