Las Cruces, N.M. – The Boise State women's golf team capped a historic weekend by winning the New Mexico State Golf Iconic Classic, led by Leia Chung, who secured the individual title.

The Broncos shot an 851 (-13), finishing six strokes ahead of runner-up Northern Arizona. The 13-under-par score marks the second-lowest 54-hole total in program history and the victory is Boise State's first since Feb. 12, 2025, at the Mountain Classic Match Play. The win also marks the program's first stroke-play win since the Pizza Hut-Lady Thunderbird Invitational on March 9, 2024.

Chung earned her third career victory and second of the season. She became the first Bronco since Samantha Martin to win two tournaments in a single season and the only Bronco in program history to win two tournaments in the same fall campaign. She now owns three career victories, the second most in school history, and nine top-10 finishes, fifth-most all time.

Boise State opened the tournament strong, firing a 12-under 276 in the first round to set a school record for the lowest single round, four strokes better than the previous mark. The Broncos carried that momentum into day two, shooting a 2-under 285 to post a 36-hole total of 561 (-15), another program record.

Facing high winds and tough conditions in the final round, the Broncos held onto their lead, led by Chung's third-straight round under par, to claim the tournament title.

Quotables
"This was a great team win this week. Rounds two and three were a little more of a battle and they handled that challenge well. Wins in golf are hard to come by and being in a position to compete and pull out the win is something to be proud of.  Leia getting her second win of the fall shows exactly what she's capable of." -Boise State Women's Golf Head Coach Kailin Downs
