Ava de Leest Named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Freshman goalkeeper Ava de Leest was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced, Monday.
The Fullerton, Calif., native recorded a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Grand Canyon (Oct. 23). In the win, de Leest made two saves. It marked her fifth shutout of the season.
This is the second weekly award for de Leest. She last earned the honor following a 1-0 win against Colorado State (Sept. 28).
Boise State will host Utah State, Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Boas Soccer Complex.
